This comprehensive course is designed to equip workers in Ontario with essential knowledge of fall protection, in accordance with Ontario Regulation 851 for Industrial Establishments. Participants will learn not only the critical aspects of working from heights but also the importance of adult learning principles to enhance engagement and retention throughout the course.
The program covers all aspects of fall protection, including fall prevention, restraint, and arrest, across various applications. The course is divided into two key components: a classroom-based theoretical session on operator safety, and a practical, hands-on session. During the practical session, participants will learn how to properly inspect and fit harnesses and lanyards, identify appropriate and inappropriate anchor points, and understand the consequences of using unsuitable anchor points.
